Densified Time, 2016/17, concerns itself with the illustration of temporal density and translates it into the tactile textile element. Using the medium of superimposition and compression of forms, we have the creation of coherent structures on the one hand and those that appear to follow a chaotic path on the other. What appear to be moving, fluid arrangements of forms calling to mind organic, living organisms, meet up against non-organic, crystalline structures. Various layers of visibility, relating to the period spent in observation, are revealed. The use of leather as a material and the time-consuming process of sewing the individual elements on canvas additionally raise the question of the role of time in the world we live in today, its quality and its value.
